What is the Coaching Concept? The coaching concept is that given one-to-one, personalised support and encouragement an individual will make substantial improvement and change. What is Life Coaching? Life Coaching is an extension of the coaching concept and focuses entirely on what you say you want to achieve for your life. What areas does Life Coaching cover? All areas of your life. Each person is different consequently your Life Coaching requirements will be different. What types of people choose Life Coaching? People like YOU. The Life Coaching partnership is the working relationship that you have with your Life Coach, a dynamic and holistic partnership between you and your Life Coach that enables you to explore all areas of your life and begin to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you are going. What is a Life Coaching Agreement? The Life Coaching agreement is what you say you will do to create the life that you want. Is Life Coaching the same as counselling or therapy? No. Counselling or psychotherapy focuses on how you came to be who you are and is about working through or recovering from issues related to your behaviours in relationship to the past. Life Coaching is about the here and now and focuses on the development of what you say you want to achieve as quickly and easily as possible. Where appropriate a Life Coach may recommend that you speak to a counsellor or therapist. If you require a counsellor or psychotherapist, please contact me for details. What is telephone Life Coaching? This is a pre-arranged telephone call lasting between 45-60 minutes, What are the benefits of telephone coaching? Telephone Life Coaching ensures that you have maximum flexibility to design the Life Coaching partnership that you want and to schedule sessions to your specific requirements. The Life Coaching sessions are not dependent on your location, and financially Life Coaching becomes accessible to all. What do clients say about telephone coaching? Clients say that they are more relaxed, are more willing to move the partnership forward and that their progress is accelerated. Do you offer face-to-face Life Coaching? Yes. Some clients want face-to-face contact with a Life Coach. Please contact me directly for information and a written quote. Can I have both? Yes. A combination of telephone and face-to-face Life Coaching is an option some clients want. Please contact me directly for information and a written quote. How long must I commit to working with a Life Coach? You can commit to a minimum of 6 sessions, how you organise these sessions is up to you. How often will I be coached? Weekly sessions for the first 2-3 months supports you to overcome initial hurdles and helps to get your motivation going. Often the sessions are then reduced to fortnightly or monthly sessions to keep the momentum going until you have achieved what you want to achieve. What is the cost of Life Coaching? The cost of Life Coaching varies depending on the service that you choose. Please contact me directly for information and a written quote. When does the Life Coaching partnership end? The Life Coaching partnership ends when you chose to end the partnership and/or when you have achieved what you wanted to achieve. How will I decide what I want to be coached on? Successful Life Coaching, requires a commitment from you and your Life Coach, ultimately you set your own agenda. As your Life Coach I will support you to develop a picture of where you want to be and the goals you want to achieve. Providing you with a sounding-board for your ideas and solutions, working intuitively with you as you to get a sense of what fits for the life you want. What is the Life Coaching Process? The Life Coaching Process details the various stages you will go through from your initial enquiry through to the actual Life Coaching sessions.
At Œkos Life Coaching we believe that you always have a choice and at each stage you have an opportunity to decide whether you want to proceed to the next stage. Is the complimentary session really free? Yes. A free complimentary (telephone) session is offered to all enquirers. You will be coached with no strings attached and have an opportunity to identify a specific area of your life that you want to enhance. What happens after the complimentary session? If you decide that you want to be coached, you will be sent your Introductory Life Coaching Pack, which includes a Life Coaching Questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed to ensure that the Life Coaching partnership is built on a firm foundation of honesty and commitment. You will have as much time as you want to complete the questionnaire. This maybe the first test of your commitment and you may find the process challenging as it requires that you are completely honest with yourself. Your responses will form the basis of your conversation during your introductory Life Coaching session. What happens during the introductory session? The introductory session is scheduled before you have completed the Life Coaching questionnaire. The session lasts between 1-1½ hrs and you will make commitments or agreements regarding;
How are the Life Coaching sessions structured? You bring to each Life Coaching session your agenda, your Life Coach will support you to simplify and focus on a specific item, explore your options, capitalise on your opportunities, and design a plan to move you towards achieving your goal. For larger ‘life purposes', your Life Coach will keep you on track by providing the structure and support needed to maintain your momentum and focus. What happens if I do not want to be coached any more? The Life Coaching process has at its heart you and what you want. You decide whether you hire a Life Coach. You say when you no longer want to be coached. I have personal as well as business/professional goals that I want to work on. Can a Life Coach work on both? Yes. A Life Coach is trained to support you with all aspects of your life. Can I have a Life Coach for a short-term ‘special' project? Yes. Life Coaches have a wealth of experiences as well as life and coaching skills that they use to create their own personal life coaching tool-kit for use when coaching. Life Coaches are skilled in knowing the right question to ask and will use a balance of advanced questioning and listening techniques, assessment techniques, and coaching models to help you understand yourself better and move quickly on to where you want to be. What should I look for in a Life Coach? Choose a Life Coach who fits you and your wants for a Life Coaching partnership. Ask yourself the following questions; Does this Life Coach have experience of working with people like me and ensuring that they achieve their identified goals? Do I feel comfortable speaking to and being with this Life Coach? Do I feel motivated to respond and put into action the agreements I have made? Will this Life Coach ‘keep up with me' and ‘ahead of me' as I grow? Be honest at all stages of the Life Coaching process about what you really want. The right Life Coach for you may not be the right Life Coach for me . Life Coaches specialise and certain types of clients maybe drawn to a specific Life Coach. Clients who are intuitive, creative , visionary, entrepreneurial in-spirit , and willing to make dynamic changes in their lives, and have identified specific life purposes or goals are attracted to the Life Coaching service I offer. How do you coach? I choose to coach people who are 100% committed to transforming their lives. If I do not believe that you are 100% committed to the Life Coaching process, I will not agree to be your Life Coach. What can I expect of you as my Life Coach? For the duration of the Life Coaching partnership, I will praise, support, and, encourage you to move towards the life that you say you want. I will hold you accountable for to the agreements you make, ultimately ensuring that you fully realise your identified goals. How can I prepare myself for Life Coaching? Amazing as it may seem you are already there . Life Coaching requires your willingness and desire to make transformational changes. Assess yourself and your suitability by taking the ‘How Coachable Am I' test. Remember you can come back to take this test at any time. How can I get the most from Life Coaching? Identify your feelings and ‘what feels right for you'. Think about what is important to you. Explore the opportunities in your life. Walk the windy road. Reduce your distractions. Increase your awareness of your own personal needs. Create more time and space in your life. Listen to yourself and others without interruptions or judgments.
